Amongst the huge and often intimidating college
swimmers our young Mighty Marlins held their own at the National
Meet at Federal Way! Jennifer Domanowski had the highest
individual place taking 35th in the United States in the 200
butterfly. Morgan Ginnis, one of only two 13 year olds
at the meet swam a 24.00 50 yard freestyle and missed finals by 6
tenths of a second. Hannah Taylor dropped time in the 200 IM
and moved up from 108th to 58th in the nation, and Hannah Peseau
had a great time drop in the 100 backstroke to move up to
65th. They also swam two relays taking 30th in the U.S. in
the 400 Medley Relay, and 32nd in the 200 Medley
Relay!
This represents an
incredible step for the Mighty Marlins and was a great experience
for these young girls, and I feel sorry for the rest of the field
in a couple of years when these girls begin to mature into beastly
young women that take charge at these National Meets!
